About

My research interest lies in the broad area of ethnicity, ethnic identity formation and human agency. In addition to this, I am also interested in gender issues, culture and identity politics. At present, I am working to complete my doctoral research titled “Adivasi communities as Other and as Self: Ethnicity, identity and Agency in Bangladesh” under the supervision of Glenn Bowman, School of Anthropology and Conservation, University of Kent at Canterbury, UK.
